Implementation of measures

The management of the wetlands belongs to a measure complex. By this complex, the course of the river in a length of 6.6 km, which is rich in structure has to be obtained (together with the already implemented measures Mauth and the structuring Preg). The measure wetlands Feistritz - St. Lorenzen has a size of about 4.3 ha.

The following measures are to be taken:

o  Opening of the bank revetment in a length of about 850 m
o  Preparation of a 760 m long branch
o  Building of ponds in the size of about 2,000m²
o  Initiation of the development of wetlands in a size of about 1.0 ha
o  Protection of the stand of the wetlands of about 1.4ha
o  Lowering of the area in the size of about 3,000m²
 

The implementation of the measures was finished in summer/autumn 2014.
