Implementation of measures
Lässer-Au - River widening
The floodplain management in the Lässer floodplain forest is included in a number of measures, by which a rich structured flow course is to be achieved to an extent of 3,9 km (together with the already realized measures Weyern-Au and Apfelberg). The area of the Lässer floodplain forest itself is approx. 1 km long and covers an area of approx. 9.3 ha.
The following measures are going to be set:
o Construction of a 900 m long distributary with a partial lowering soil
o 900 m opening of the bank protection
o Building of amphibian basins in dimension of 4,000 m²
o Initiationof of floodplain forest development of approx. 3.5 ha
o Protection of stands of floodplain forest of approx. 4.5 ha
o Enlargment of the Naura-2000-Area of approx. 4.1 ha
The implementation of this measure started in the second quarter of 2012 and was finished with the opening of the tributary on 10.12.2013.
